We're back again, and this time sampling more beer from our hometown of Nashville, TN. This episode, we're taking a look at some special releases from a favorite brewery of ours - Yazoo. Yazoo has a special line of beers out right now, called the Hop Project, dedicated to showing the differences that various hops can make in beer. We try one of the most recent products of that project this week. In addition, we also get a taste of a Rye Saison. Got a favorite beer from your region? Send it our way and we'll try it on the show! Email us at podcast [at] davisondraft [dot] com.

Episode 97: Hair of the Dog Brewery |
Sunday, 29 March 2009 |
This episode, we're centering in on another brewery - Hair of the Dog Brewery from Oregan. Special thanks to Don for sending us these great beers! We're trying three of their offerings this episode, and needless to say, we're pretty impressed. All the beers are big - around or over 10% ABV. One of the beers spurs an interesting debate over style, and all three beers have pretty interesting names. Get your snifters ready and tune in - it's a great trip! Sunday, 01 March 2009 |
Hey - we're back! This episode, we're revisiting a well known brewery, Sierra Nevada, and trying their new offerings. Over the past couple months, Sierra Nevada has released two of this year's seasonals, plus a brand new year-round beer. As it's rare that Sierra Nevada releases a new year-round offering, we think it's a pretty big deal. Plus, it's just the style that we think they needed to release years ago - IPA. Tune in to this episode to see what this powerhouse brewery has that's new! Got a favorite beer from your region? Send it our way and we'll try it on the show! Email us at podcast [at] davisondraft [dot] com.
Sampled this week: Sierra Nevada: 2009 ESB (Early Spring Beer), Torpedo IPA, and 2009 Bigfoot Barleywine.

Episode 93: Homebrewery Spotlight - Dave's Homebrew |
Tuesday, 23 December 2008 |
We've got something different on tap this week. We're doing a brewery spotlight, but not on a commercial brewery! This week, it's all about homebrew! Dave was kind enough to send four of his beers down for us to try, and on this episode, we talk about his brewery setup and taste all four beers. Homebrewing is an awesome hobby, and for anyone interested in craft beer, it's a great way to learn more about the craft. Listen in this week, as we taste some beer that can rival that of many commercial breweries. Plus, Dave has won major awards for his bottle labels (Grand Prize in the Brew Your Own label contest), so he's not only a talented brewer, but a great graphic artist. Got a favorite beer from your region? Send it our way and we'll try it on the show! Email us at podcast [at] davisondraft [dot] com.
