What happened to us?
Tuesday, 16 March 2010

We podfaded (in other words, we just faded away slowly without warning).  That's the short story.

First - an apology.  We never thought we'd just wither away like so many podcasts do.  We had actually made a commitment that we wouldn't do that, and life got the best of us.

The story is all too familiar for many victims of podfading - life got busier, our jobs demanded more, and the podcast was the one thing that ended up getting edged out.

Rest assured, Mollie and I still drink great craft beer week after week, and talk about it the same way we always did on the show.  Our habits and love for craft beer haven't changed, only our time available to talk about it on the show.

If you've emailed us, another apology.  Our email account for the show filled up with spam and started rejecting mail, something that happened because of our inattention to it over a period of time.  We'd love to reconnect - you can email me directly at jdavis1002 [at] gmail.com.

To all the people who listened to the show, emailed in, called in, saw us out at festivals and supported us in all other ways, we can't thank you enough.  The two years of recording the show was an amazing and life changing experience, and provided us with experiences and memories that will last a lifetime.  Like all things that end, moving on is bittersweet.  From the bottom of our hearts...thank you so much for the support.

With that, we say a temporary goodbye.  Temporary, because one day we may just fire up the microphones and crank out another show sometime in the future (after all, we stopped at episode 99 [there's one recorded, but hasn't been released, a testament to our slammed schedules]).  With that said, our regular production of the podcast has ceased.

Again, we'd love to hear from you.  Please email me at jdavis1002 [at] gmail.com if you have any questions, comments, or just want to reconnect.

Thanks again.  Ya'll have really made it an amazing journey for us - thanks again for the unbelievable support.

Episode 98: Yazoo Brewery Special Releases
Sunday, 10 May 2009
We're back again, and this time sampling more beer from our hometown of Nashville, TN.  This episode, we're taking a look at some special releases from a favorite brewery of ours - Yazoo.  Yazoo has a special line of beers out right now, called the Hop Project, dedicated to showing the differences that various hops can make in beer.  We try one of the most recent products of that project this week.  In addition, we also get a taste of a Rye Saison.

Episode 97: Hair of the Dog Brewery
Sunday, 29 March 2009
This episode, we're centering in on another brewery - Hair of the Dog Brewery from Oregan.  Special thanks to Don for sending us these great beers!  We're trying three of their offerings this episode, and needless to say, we're pretty impressed.  All the beers are big - around or over 10% ABV.  One of the beers spurs an interesting debate over style, and all three beers have pretty interesting names.  Get your snifters ready and tune in - it's a great trip!
